This past Monday, May 19, 2025, the STEM Academy held its Spring Ceremony honoring 10th-grade students enrolled in the STEM programs: Advanced Manufacturing and Health & Medical Sciences. Families, friends, and staff filled the gymnasium in support of the students’ accomplishments. The event began with opening remarks from STEM Academy Principal, Mr. Reece, who welcomed attendees and reflected on the students' growth throughout the semester.
Before students were recognized and presented with certificates of completion, keynote speaker Mrs. Jessica Dalton, Vice President of Workforce Services at Danville Community College, delivered an inspiring message. She encouraged students to continue working hard, take advantage of every opportunity, and embrace the many paths available to achieve success.
The ceremony concluded with applause, celebration, and a shared sense of pride in the accomplishments of these rising professionals. It was a meaningful moment for students and their families—one that marked not just the completion of a chapter, but the beginning of many promising futures.
